Some people take better care of their cars than they do of themselves. The good news
is that anyone reading this is unlikely to be one of them... It's no fun being pricked and probed once in a while. But at the end of the day, we are all glad we did.

Every 6 months, more often if abnormal or on high blood pressure medicine.
Be careful about salt intake. Take time for relaxation and reflection for inner peace Annually or more often depending on heart risk. Decrease deep-fried and greasy foods. Exercise and eat more fruits and vegetables as well as high fiber foods like oats. At least annually; more frequently if diabetic, at discretion of your doctor. Fasting blood sugar should be less than 110; HgbA1C normal range is 4 -6. As required for employment, surgery, medical condition or exposure to smoke & occupational hazards Every 2 - 5 years or as indicated by heaviness of periods, pregnancy or weakness or other symptoms. One is considered anemic if that count is low. May be treated with iron tablets. Outdated glasses can cause eye strain and headaches. Some research suggests link between poor dental hygiene and increased heart attacks. Every 2 - 5 years or as indicated by symptoms (Tell your health care provider how often you get up at night on average to use the washroom) Every 3-5 years after age 50. Earlier of more often if indicated by rectal bleeding, change in bowel habits, etc. Every 1-2 years by health care provider. Annually after age 50 (post-menopausal). Baseline at age 35-40, then every 1-2 years thereafter. Earlier and/or more often with breast mass symptoms or suspicious family history. Annually after age 50 (post-menopausal). Annually for active women Less frequently after total hysterectomy according to symptoms or risk or discretion of doctor. Annually by age 40. Embarrassing to many. Much encouragement needed in this sensitive matter.
